I am a subscriber to your Health Intelligence Files and have enjoyed your "free thinking" articles. As a firm proponent of the First Amendment, I admire your guts. Many people do not understand the looming threat of the FDA and the medical-legal-insurance-pharmaceutical-government cartel on a daily basis. I just found your article on the internet on the Hoodia Scam. I unfortunately bought pure hoodia from Lugan Technologies in Chicago. I guess it's the same as the one in Nevada. I tried to find a website for them this morning to request a refund. I received the capsules yesterday and was excited when I took the first capsule before dinner last night. I was counting on it to suppress my appetite so I could be satisfied with my sensible low-calorie dinner and not eat for the rest of the evening. When I later found myself binging on rice cakes, leftover chicken and grapes to the tune of about 500 more calories, I was upset and disappointed to say the least. I tried to find their website by using Google and typed in "Lugan Technologies" so I could write them a letter asking if I was going to have to wait for some time before it took effect. But instead of being able to find a website for them I found your article on the scam. You can imagine how horrified I am that I spent the money and got junk. At least I only took one capsule. I wonder if I can get my money back. They say I have sixty days to get a refund. We'll see. At least all is not lost. I read your article and I will look for "StrictlyHealth/Hoodoba" or one of the others you tested and buy some of the genuine article and not waste any more time and money on scams. I'm grateful I found your article when I did. It was very well written and it sounds very thoroughly researched as well. Thank you. I'm tempted to call my local news media to tell them I've been duped but I'm embarrassed to have anybody know what I did. Thanks again for your eye-opening article.
